Adding my two cents again:
Looking from gada's/players perspective: The admins have been not performing as well as they should be, and looking over the years, the quality seems to be worse. It feels like they're more careless when it comes to dealing with freekills and actual micspamming, and aren't around to help when they're clearly ingame. Looking from someone who's gone through the system/ONI's perspective: The mentoring system does work, but as ONIONZZZ has said before: A lot of the "old guild" is not apart of the staff team anymore, and their knowledge isn't easily passed down as much anymore. Staff isn't a full time job, not even part time. People do have lives and you can't always make a full commitment to JB. My thoughts are that the moderators especially should be reigned in a bit more with their behavior, and should be looked at more closely. How this possibly happens is out of my control and realm of knowledge, but I feel like there should be a general meeting for them to clear the air, ask questions, just that sorta thing.

1. You think I have to listen to you
Since admins don't get paid, sadly the only incentive to become a staff is feeling like a big boy with your powers over others. Onionzzz is smart; he's figured out that he doesn't NEED to pay staff members, because having exclusive administrating powers is enough of an enticement for the social degenerates that tend to crave them. Any semblance of democracy is fucking absent - the community who will be ruled over by them isn't consulted at all, it's a completely internal vote dictated by the same people!
Not only that, but when you're high enough in the AMAZING and COHESION-ENFORCING hierarchy of Domination Servers, no one is left to review any of your decisions. Hmm, how do I know that there isn't a review for operators/senior admins/whatever the new bullshit role is called? Because I was banned for over a fucking YEAR by operator Turtle for apparently "cheating" during a mass freekill, which is complete bullshit and he knows it. The reason stated on the forums for my permanent ban (after a SINGLE mass freekill offense, by the way) was "ok," so... cheers for the astounding professionalism and clear motive expression mate! I left for so long because I really couldn't be fucked sucking staff's dick to get an unban for my heinous crimes against humanity that I didn't commit. It's obvious that the only reason I was permabanned was because I called Turtle an eternal virgin on discord and he had a pissy tantrum about it, so he took great homoerotic pleasure in banning me and covering it up as a cheating rampage. Let me tell you, he KNEW that no one would review the demo and quell his lies. He UNDERSTOOD and EXPLOITED the ridiculous mechanics present in the staff team for his personal benefit. This inane level of depravity exhibited by an experienced staff member as an operator - which I'll remind you is the highest possible level achievable without being direct server manager - is fucking LUNACY! The only time that staff is questioned is when people are directly affected and understand the wrongdoing... what about a new player who experienced palpable admin abuse, but doesn't understand enough to know that he was a victim? If I'm incorrect, and other admins actually did review the demo... well that's a whole other issue on its own about incompetence. I've complained about stuff like this in the past. I've been lectured by Jas that the "staff are volunteers," as if we're supposed to EXPECT and NORMALIZE this level of competence. Well that's the issue isn't it? Staff SHOULD NOT be volunteers, they should be players elected by members of the community as representatives to our views and needs. There should be an elected communal body in defense of the actions by admins, rather than their decisions remaining unfacilitated and unquestioned by the people that it's impacting. I've been told by Turtle that I'm a Raymond wannabe, as if that's some sort of derogatory implication. I used to believe that Raymond was crazy. I mean I still do a bit, he is ridiculous sometimes. But at least he has the intuition to actually give a fuck about the community and the wellbeing of players within it. I mean the Player's Union nowadays is one of the few things preventing DS from devolving into an absolute totalitarian administration, with complete subservience under an iron fist! +1

For once I actually agree with gada on something, +1 it seems like the mods/newer staff members are just the fun police that mute people for having a good time over mic to make it seem like they do something as staff which ends up ruining peoples enjoyment. This isn't me taking a jab at the staff team I know there a few people who would agree with somethings on this post and I think it needs to be talked about.

+1, currently it seems when there are only moderators on, the only thing that actually gets "moderated" is the T's voice. I've personally been muted for saying a sentence when no orders are being given. This combined with freekills being ignored show a complete lack of understanding or training. Moderators I have noticed doing this specifically in my experience are gean and Pods.
From my experience as Operator, having a staff meeting or even a training day with these newer staff members is very possible, and would be greatly beneficial. Younger staff need to be taught the ways of this community as it is turning into just another jailbreak/gaming server. I would be willing to help out with my experience as I'm sure many other ex-staff would (if we don't get treated like the scum of society while doing it that is.) Mass free killing is treated way too seriously lately, treated as a personal disrespect to the server or something? Massy's are apart of this community's culture and always have been, they are great fun, and because of the rollback command do not cause any harm. The current "freedom" ruleset reflects the culture of this server and it is slowly being removed and I'm sure we can all agree that we should put a stop to it. In regards to howls, I don't remember why you were banned apart from some vague cheat/dox reason. ONIONZZZ and myself do not see eye to eye on much anymore but I can tell you we both agreed on your permanent community ban, along with the other higher ups at the time, and I'm sure it will still be agreed upon if reviewed today. Maybe you think it was for no reason because you don't realise the extent IP tracking and demos recording goes on this community.
I like to add my personal viewpoint first;
Onionzzz and Hyphen have set up the server and have put a lot of time into the community. Without them, even considering there personal character flaws from my point of view and all the wrongs there done morally there there would be no Jailbreak without them and there hard effort. What is happening now, is the normal cycle of a server, because what is happening now has happened 8 times before sadly in the community alone since 2009. It starts off with excitement > then slowly over time the leaders (in this case Onionzzz and Hyphen) lose interest, the hobby becomes more work like and they become more impatience and see the community more of a a cash cow to make some $$$ and everything slips like it is doing so now. All admins often complain in general that they feel attacked randomly, that players often seek them out and there just over it... However this is no excuse to drop the ball or allow abuse in my view (and I can personally say, I personally get way more attacked by random admins and players wanting to be a admin thinking attacking me is a path to higher rank or adminship in there eyes, yet never once have I or another PU officer had a breakdown or complaint about it, and so shouldn't the admin who have volunteered to have a bigger impact). Remember admins have made a decision to be an admin, they were not forced to be one so they should always be held to the highest standard of adminship. However even though I support the main message in this thread and those commenting, what worries me particularly in this case is the motivation, this is not kids trying to have fun getting an admin reaction, this isn't people fighting for a message they truly believe, this is people using "players rights" as a method to seek revenge on a former friend/partner/boss who there split ways with, however saying that I still generally support the message of "players rights". From an Players Union (PU) viewpoint. The PU has over the course of years been advocating for consistent banning and unbanning policies for all players. Some simple but yet very effective methods would be to have a warn/mute/kick/ban policy regarding all mutes. And that all mutes must be 1,2,5 minutes in that order, with no mute allowed over 5 minutes. A separate unbanning admin outside of the team would allow for all unbans to be independently review. In general intentions should be accounted for when administrating rules and mistakes forgiven, players should not ever receive a CT ban unless the intention was malicious. All ban reasons must be clearly stated, no more ban reason like "is a dog". And this goes for admins respawning players to do massies as well. Remembers JB is a social game, rules regarding what should and can't be said, should all be left alone and not enforced and there shouldn't be extra protection for certain category of players or actions made against people because of mob mentality. In general prisoners shouldn't be allowed to be punished in almost all cases as the entire point of JB prisoners is to menace. And in general, there should be a high level or accountability for those who chosen to take on the role as a online leader such as an admin. I won't go on about every change which can be done, but the theme should be clear from whats above. As its the theme which has always led to the most open, funnest and best Jailbreak community which we all proud to be a part of.
