I believe you need a third party software to get the vmfs. May I ask, what do you need the vmfs for?

I just wanted to look in the vmf files to see how some of things are done in the maps, just to see what types of functions and props they use and how they are set.
Best bet would be to look online for tutorials on how to do things, or better yet ask away in the mapping channel of the discord. Most mappers online (including Valve) are very careful for who they give the vmf too, considering there is a lot of work put into maps where people can steal ideas/games/props. I'd highly praise creators such as TopHattWaffle for guides and helpful tips on map creation, he usually provides vmfs with all of his tutorials.
