Late last night the map was revolution, I on CT went to the golf controls with an untargetable name and spammed the buttons on golf leading to chat spam, I immediately left upon being slain.
Later that night I looked at the portal seeing I had been banned for "Intentionally lagging server", to which I ping Simon in general about did the golf spam lag the server, he said yes. Other staff that were on that I asked literally agreed with me it had no impact on the servers performance, it only clogged the chat. After proving to him that I had no intention of "lagging the server" and that it literally didn't lag the server at all, nothing changed. My ban was BECAUSE I intentionally lagged the server, it didn't lag one bit, but still I was banned.
He later went onto say, even if the server didn't lag, at minimum you intentionally clogged the servers chat. Literally everyone and their fucking mother who spams chat with buttons is intentionally doing it, unless they are new to the server, they get SLAIN, warned or if they have history they will be banned. I have 0 history of spamming buttons to clog chat, 0. He later mentions how I am ex staff and should know better, I give him examples of other staff being warned for intentionally trying to crash the server with no ban, the thing I did was less severe as the server didn't even lag one bit but I copped a ban. Simons logic should be applied to all ex staff, to all situations, you can't just pick and choose who gets banned in what situation and use the excuse "you should know because your ex staff" :p.
I know my ban was reduced (9 hours :0) because of a discussion that was said in senior, you reducing it, in my opinion shows how fucked the ban is, I want my ban removed off my portal account instead and just put a warn on my profile like any other player would receive.
reason to why I am posting this as a thread, is because a certain "higher up" of the staff team told me, "you got a reduction, better than nothing, just take it." feels like everything im saying to all the "higher ups" of the staff team doesnt matter : )

Hey Nufty, we've discussed the ban with Simon and agreed to revoke it. Given the situation the ban did make sense at the time, but after further looking into it we have decided to unban you. Just to note however, this behaviour, harmless now can be a slippery slope to being like Sinth. You understand what it's been like on the other end, so I hope we can continue a mutual respect to eachother.
