Why were you banned?: I was auto banned for duplicate account, assuming the system thought I was ban evading.
I joined server 1 connected to a VPN. I was unsuspecting of any issues, as I have been on a VPN ever since i first joined the servers in 2019. I was immediately banned for duplicate account. I assume that another player was permanently banned for scripting, of whom was using the same VPN server, leading the IP linked to their ban, the same as the one I was connected to.
The interesting thing is that I have never encountered an issue similar to this before the servers were changed from DS to OS, leading me to believe that the systems have changed, and the server no longer checks if a player is connected to a VPN, as I know for a fact there was a plugin in place to detect this in the past.
Why should you be unbanned?: I have never cheated and have never felt the need to, it seems stupid that the panel cannot detect VPNs, and isolate certain servers as VPNs, removing the duplicate account banning system for these IPs. Seems like an oversight of the staff team following the recent server change.
