Personally, when I go to a community website, I always set my bookmark on the forums section, because I hate looking at the landing bit, I just see new threads through the forums. If people dislike it that much we can just rename Portal to Home and Home to forums.

It's not bad, it makes sense to have a landing have important information, recent updates and stuff but it's a little odd when you want to go past that and make a post because then you have to find the forums. That might be a probably when the way there isn't named right I guess?
