RE: Brig - ✪ Deaglegotu - 29-11-2020

I myself am not a map creator currently but have done a lot of research on the topic as I am hoping to build my own map.
So I dont have experience so to say, if you need help, as DrKittens said he would gladly provide.

Also!
If you add a disco dont just make it a plain disco with little to no games if any and earrape music please.
Maybe add some games along the lines of musical chairs or laser game to as to not make it a place that cant be used for "real" rounds.
When it comes to music, if youre struggling maybe you could also make a forum post or ask in discord what songs people would like to be added.

But obviously, your map, your rules.

Yeah if i end up making a disco it will definitely make sure that it actually is useful, most likely by including something like a laser game and I am going to make sure that it doesn't have horrible music

Yeah that doesn't really surprise me that it would be hard to do. It is more of a pipe dream of an ms that I would implement in the end if i felt up to it. That being said both of you seem to have a bit of an idea of how to do that. Would either of you be able to tell me what I should look into on how to do that?

The only sinking ship style maps I've seen used rising water, which obviously isn't the ship itself sinking and would also cause the island to go under water.
I've seen people just simply have ships collapse/break to simulate it but it's not really sinking.
You could make the ship a giant func_train but that would create a lot of issues, especially performance wise and crash wise.
