Permanantly banned from CT for "ban evading" - xyn1st3r - 16-08-2018 I was banned from CT PERMANENTLY for "ban evading" Order of events (note that I was connected to a VPN throughout all of this. Jester and other people think that this may of been the reason for the autoban.) 1- 14/08/18 <10:45PM>: Banned from CT for '1 day' by admin RetroDawn (I believe). This was because I was messing around on CT, which I was. I was running around the map not really contributing, admittedly, it was a fair ban. I mess around a bit and then leave the server at around 11:15PM. 3- I log out of my 'xyn1st3r' account, and login to my smurf account, 'holy shiiiet' (yeah it's an old account). This was because of a few reasons, but mostly because I have a couple of CSGO items on my smurf which I was going to trade to myself. After doing this, I play some silver elite competitive. I didn't log back into my main because I was competitive banned for 2 days left on a 7 day ban. After losing the game (embarrassingly), I log out of 'holy shiiiet' and head to bed. 2- 15/08/18 <10:45-11:00PM>: I rejoin the server, expecting my ban to have ended. I waited an extra 5 or 10 minutes for joining CT as it was stacked, so I ended up joining at around... 10:55PM?  This is when it happened. As soon as I click team Counter-Terrorists - ker-sploosh! 'Player 'xyn1st3r' has been permanently CT banned for reason: ban evading.' 'What the fuck!?' Was my reaction when I realized what had happened. It was unbelievable. I did NOTHING wrong! Player 'Sun Tzu' explained that it was an automatic ban to me and other players. Jester asked me what I did, and I recited the order of events. Player 'sock' asked me if I was connected to a VPN, which might've had an impact. I was connected to X-VPN set to location Singapore, as I always am when online. I don't exactly understand how 'ban evading' works, but I didn't even join the server with my alternate. Admittedly, I contemplated it. But 'holy shiiiet' doesn't have this server saved to favourites, and it was only a 1 day ban, so I cbf and went to bed.  After being banned for 'ban evading', I switched to my holy 'shiiiet account' and joined to see if it had anything to do with it, and ker-sploosh - I got banned again! For ban evading! Again!!! What the hell? Just can you please check the logs or something? As far as I am concerned, I was banned for no reason. I just hope that this is reverted soon, because it really seems more like a technical error. Did my VPN interfere with the system somehow? I have many witnesses if you want some. You were perm CT banned as you DID ban evade as the ban specifically states the account that you joined on, which you joined the server directly after the CTBan was added: https://steamcommunity.com/profiles/76561198095428062 You did join the server on the holy shiet account because it is also CTBanned via the CT sleuth system.  Also, we can detect if the IP is apart of a VPN or proxy network and your connected IP clearly states 'Telstra Internet', not a VPN provider. I will reduce the ban to 1 week and if you ban evade again you will be re-banned for a month. Thanks.
