Jailbreak terminology and rule breakdown for new players or intermediate players. - gada - 02-07-2019

Terminology you should understand and adapt into your vocabulary to improve your jailbreak experience.

THIS IS NOT GOING TO GIVE YOU A THOROUGH UNDERSTANDING OF THE RULES. THIS IS TO TEACH YOU SLANG AND TERMS THAT YOU MAY NOT UNDERSTAND. PLEASE VISIT rules.dominationservers.com TO READ FULL LIST OF RULES.

Tip: Use control + F to find a term you are looking for quickly.

This list is a WIP. Please feel free to comment criticism or suggestions/words I missed. Love you.

Warden. (War-Den) The warden is the CT that gives orders to the T’s
Warden is the person who will be slain if their game causes more than 10 Ts to die.

CT = counter terrorist team player
T = Terrorist team player

“Dud” (d-uh-d) Dud is a term often used When a General player makes a bad play, throws a bad smoke, free wounds a crowd... (etc). Dud is classed as an insult.

Freekill (f-ree-kh-ill) Freekill is a term used when a CT “accidentally” kills a terrorist who has not broken wardens guidance. Freekills are mostly punished with a slay. The freekilled T is respawned. Targeted free killing, (purposefully freekilling the same T) Will result in a CT ban. More than 1 freekill is classed as a Mass freekill / massy.

Mass freekill... “Massy” (mah-see) Massy is a term used when a CT kills multiple Ts (more than 1) who did not break wardens guidance. Even if it was “accidental.” (Encouraging a massy, if acted out, will result in the person who egged the CT on getting half the ban.)

Slay (sl-ayh) Slay is a term used when a player breaks the server rules and is warranted to be killed for the remainder of the round. Slay is not a serious punishment, more a slap on the wrist.

Slap. (Sl-ahp) Slap is a punishment deliverable by admins that allows for a custom amount of damage to be dealt and the player slapped to be flung into the air. Admins will generally slap CTs if they are breaking a rule, or being unhelpful to their team. (Like spraying a penis into the floor with a Negev)

MicSpamming. (Mike-Spah-Ming) Mic spamming is a term used when a player is obstructing the ability for wardens orders to be heard. This includes but is not limited to playing music, blowing into your mic and general ear rape. CTs may be punished for mic spamming with a swap and longer mute. Ts will be muted for mic spam. Mic spam mutes increase in length as the repetitiveness increases.

Gag. (Gah-gh) Gag is a punishment delivered by admins to players who are being disruptive in chat. (Such as spamming). Gags (like mutes) increase in length as the repetitiveness increases.

Gun planting. (Guhn-plan-ting)
Gun planting is a term generally used when a CT poorly places a gun. An example of gun planting is if a dud ct throws an awp into medic as a quick gun clearance, then the warden sends all Ts to medic.

Smokebait. (Sm-Okh-Ba-Teh) When a warden orders T’s to an area that if a smoke was thrown, All T’s caught in the smoke would die due to fall damage or other circumstances. CT’s are not allowed to smokebait.

Baiting. (ba-ting) When a CT purposefully or unpurposefully draws T towards themselves. Baiting will most likely get you slapped but if it is excessive you will get slayed. An example of baiting is standing unprotected just outside of the exit of obby, encouraging Ts to knife them.

9k. Two random Ts may receive 9000hp or another reward at the admin's discretion (such as all Ts getting nades or all Ts getting 300hp, etc.), if cells have not been opened before 8:00, this includes VIP cells. (In the event of a microphone check this rule is void)
K stands for one thousand.
nine thousand.

The 5 foot rule. The 5 foot rule is a rule that states “Ts are clear to knife any CT within their 5ft radius. The CT cannot retaliate this attack. However, a rushing T disregards this rule. Onionzzz gave a good example of this rule on the forums. “Warden sends all Ts to medic, you come out of cells late and knife a CT standing in front of medic WHILE going into
Medic.” The 5ft rule is gone as soon as you leave your permitted area. (Although, CTs are not allowed to stand very close to the perimeter. See “baiting”)

Medic is the room on every map that allows for all players to heal by standing on some sort of entity. Some maps have medic “sprays/buttons” which have the same effect.

Obby. Obby is slang for “obstacle course”.

Vents. Vent is the one (or two depending on map) travel system that Ts can use to traverse around the map. Being inside of vent is an auto rebel. Vents can lead to gun room which is the room in the map that CTs spawn in and contains all the artillery. CTS are not allowed to break vents to gain access.

Vent camping. Vent camping is when a CT goes into the vent and holds angles or repetitively enters vents. CTS are only allowed to enter vents only to clear the   Space and the CT must leave immediately after clearing. A CT cannot leave vents than instantly go back into them. Vent camping, depending on the severity and admin discretion is punishable via CT ban. if you stare at a vent waiting to see a T, you are vent camping.

Gun room is the room on every map that the CTs spawn in and is the main centre of weapons. CTs are never to order Ts into this room. Gunroom generally has a vent that leads into it. CTs are not to allow Ts into this room. This room is generally the goal for rebelling Ts.

Gunroom camping. Gunroom camping is a lot like vent camping. A ct is not permitted to wait in gunroom for a T to come in. Depending on the severity and admin discretion this is punishable via CT ban.

Tips for new players:
If the warden gives an order that you do not understand or do not know where to go, follow the general crowd. It may be frustrating at first as it may get you killed, but jailbreak takes time to learn and as soon as you do you will begin to have a great time.

When you reach the 10 hour playtime unlock for counter terrorist, I advise not to attempt wardening straight away. Listen to the warden make their orders. Determine what worked for them and try make it work for you. My first few attempts at wardening often would end up with mass rebel, although this may be annoying or aggravating, you have to keep giving it a shot. Remember, it never killed anyone to say “ill be your warden for today.”

Some of these are quite wrong and will misinform players.

Gun planting: gun planting is giving a T easy access to a gun by directly throwing them the gun or by placing a gun nearby / purposely ordering them within close range of a gun that was placed there manually.

Gunroom: not all grunrooms have vents.

Massy: massys are not more than 1 kill, usually more than 3 but it depends on succession and intent.

Dud: dud generally just means bad. You can be a dud if you're known to be bad. Depends on context as well, e.g dud rebeller. But yes, doing stupid stuff / also doing general stuff badly.

Vent camping: this also pertains to people staring at a vent waiting for people to exit.
