I ended up making a SourceMod plugin as a proof of concept. When you die you turn into a ghost similar to the 2018 Halloween update with the only difference being the removal of the lower gravity. Your position, view angle and You can't interact with players or use objects like buttons. There's other features I'd like to add such as being able to fly around in noclip and joining back into spectator.
