I mean you don't even need the vmf to look "to see how some of the things are done" there are console commands that let you see that

What console commands are going to teach you how to build functioning cell doors, proper teleports, minigames etc?

It's really not some magical secret, you can google and find out how to do it.
There are ways to protect your maps from being decompiled (making things out of stripper is a decent way to do so)
Some of your maps were made from someone's map/version so were likely decompiled themselves.
